These terms govern your use of SponBid (the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Platform.

1. What SponBid is

SponBid lets sports clubs list sponsorship opportunities as timed auctions, and lets individuals and businesses bid on them. SponBid is a marketplace connecting clubs and sponsors — it is not a party to the sponsorship arrangement itself, and doesn't guarantee the quality, deliverability, or value of any opportunity listed.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when signing up, including a working email address and phone number. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity on your account. One account per person or organisation, please.

3. Listings and bidding

Clubs are responsible for the accuracy of what they list — the sponsorship benefit itself, the minimum starting bid, and the auction length. A bid is a binding commitment to pay that amount if it's the winning bid when the auction closes. Withdrawing a bid before an auction closes is allowed, but doing so repeatedly or in bad faith may result in account restrictions.

Clubs may cancel a live auction at any time. If a winning bidder does not pay, the club may reassign the win to the next-highest eligible bidder.

4. Fees and payment

SponBid charges a percentage fee (currently 5%) on each winning bid once it is paid; the remainder is transferred to the club. Payments are processed by Stripe. SponBid does not store your card details. Optional paid features (boosting a listing, purchasing a media pack) are charged at the price shown at the time of purchase.

5. Contact details

Your phone number and email are private by default. Once a winning bid on a listing has been paid, that listing's club and winning bidder can see each other's contact details, to arrange the sponsorship. Nobody else can see them.

6. Content you upload

You keep ownership of anything you upload (photos, videos, PDFs, text). By uploading it, you grant SponBid a licence to display it on the Platform for the purpose of operating the service. You confirm you have the right to upload whatever you upload, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.

7. Prohibited conduct

Don't use the Platform to list anything illegal or misleading, to manipulate bidding (e.g. bidding on your own listing, using fake accounts), to harass other users, or to attempt to circumvent fees by arranging payment outside the Platform for a listing made on it.

8. Disputes and refunds

SponBid doesn't currently offer an automated refund process. If a sponsorship arrangement goes wrong, contact us via the Contact & disputes page and we'll do what we reasonably can to help, but we aren't a party to the underlying agreement between club and sponsor and can't guarantee an outcome.

9. Account termination

You can delete your account at any time (provided you have no live auctions or active bids outstanding). We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms.

10. Limitation of liability

The Platform is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, SponBid is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of it, including disputes between clubs and sponsors.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales (adjust to wherever the operating business is actually registered).
